Sixth and Seventh Grade Asian Carp:  Science and Language Arts
Cheryl Day, Steve Johnson, Marianne Mertz

Asian Carp, a species introduced to clear southern catfish ponds have escaped due to flooding and are on the verge of entering the Great Lakes.  They are a danger to the indigenous wildlife because they are eating the food base of the indigenous fish at a great rate.  They are also hurting the fishing, boating, and tourism industries. You are a Michigan Environmental Civil Engineer whose job it is to predict the environmental impact on the Great Lakes if the Asian Carp enter the lake system.
