This problem-based learning page is designed to serve as an instructional resource for K-12 teachers.

There is not one universal definition of what problem, project, or inquiry based learning truly looks like.  What matters is not semantics, but, how these ideas affect learning in your classroom.  Universally, however, it can be said problem, project and inquiry based learning all follow a constructivist approach, in other words, a student-centered approach.  In all of the aforementioned styles, students act as active meaning makers, constructing new knowledge from prior experiences, collaboration with fellow students, and through the use of technology.
